New Agent Checklist

You'll receive an email from Symmetry Onboarding with a link to create your account and complete your SFG application. Fill it out as soon as possible — do it from a desktop computer, not your phone. It's time-sensitive.

Your hiring agent will send information on how to register for your pre-licensing course. We recommend scheduling your state exam as soon as you sign up for the course — don't wait until you feel "ready."

Download WhatsApp and join our agency group. This is where we communicate as a team, share wins, and celebrate each other. If notifications are too much, mute the thread — but check in regularly.

While waiting for your state to approve licensure, start attending our weekly Zoom calls. You'll hear directly from top leaders, learn what's working, and build the habits that drive success before you ever write your first application.

Apply through the NIPR website — Licensing Center → Apply for Resident License. Each state has its own fees and requirements. Some states require fingerprinting. Check requirements for your specific state.

While waiting for your license approval, complete Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training. This will be required when you begin carrier contracting — get it done now so it's not a bottleneck later.

Errors & Omissions insurance is required by most of our carriers. You'll need proof of coverage when you begin carrier contracting. We recommend starting with Level 1 Coverage. You can pay monthly or annually.

Once you receive your state license, your NPN (National Producer Number) will be available online within 24–48 hours. You'll need both numbers for your SFG application and for contracting. Look up your NPN on the NIPR site once your license is issued.

Once Symmetry approves your application, you'll receive a welcome email with login details for Quility HQ (agent portal), OPT (lead/CRM system), and Surelc (contracting portal). Sign your contracts through Surelc and notify your mentor right away.

We recommend all new agents write a policy on themselves, a spouse, or a child as soon as they get their OPT credentials. It doesn't need to be a large policy. The goal is to experience the process end-to-end — quoting, e-application, and what the client sees. Work out the kinks before you're in front of a real lead.

As you get started, work through the training materials below. Familiarize yourself with our quoting tools and the key resources you'll use daily. SUMMIT training is in Quility HQ — look for the mountain icon in the top right.

Your first goal is to promote in commission level. You can do this two ways — as a producer or as a builder. Talk with Ben or Andrea about which track fits your goals. You can also earn a Slingshot Bonus along the way.
